Jon Batiste To Kick Off GRAMMY Museum’s New York City Program Series
This summer, The GRAMMY Museum will launch a six-part series called "A New York Evening With Jon Batiste" in collaboration with the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment in New York City.
The series, which is sponsored by City National Bank, will begin on June 17 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts with a concert by Grammy and Academy Award-winning musician and social activist Jon Batiste.
Since its inception in 2008, the Museum has hosted over 1,200 public programs with a diverse range of renowned artists—so enlisting Batiste to present what's to come is a no-brainer.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams remarked, "I am happy to welcome the GRAMMY Museum's well-respected educational and Public Program series to New York City this summer, kicking-off with none other than Jon Batiste." "Not only do these efforts align perfectly with our vision to support future musicians who might one day contribute to New York City's creative economy, but they also align perfectly with our city's own New York Music Month initiative, which offers concerts, workshops, and free rehearsal space throughout June."
