Diet Coke by singer Pusha T — Pusha T came into limelight as one half of the hip hop group Clipse, along with his brother and fellow rapper No Malice, with whom he co-founded Re-Up Records.
Thornton confirmed his deal to Kanye West's GOOD Music label, which is part of Def Jam Recordings, in September 2010. Later same year, he had an appearance on Kanye West's track "Runaway," which reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Daytona was released to great praise on May 25, 2018. On Metacritic, it earned an 86, signifying "universal acclaim." For his work on Daytona and his diss track "The Story of Adidon," he was voted the "Best Rapper Alive" by Complex in 2018. Hip-hop legends Nas and P. Diddy praised the album, calling it "a great record" and "a modern-day masterpiece."
Pusha T launched Heir Wave Media Group, a new record company in February 2020, to sign and nurture musicians from the Virginia area. He kept his position as president of G.O.O.D. Music while concentrating on creating a roster of musicians from his home state.
Pusha highlighted his intention to attract "album artists" who build storylines and greater tales throughout their projects when he founded the company. Local musicians were invited to contribute their work to the Heir Wave Music YouTube page as well as a weekly radio show on 103 Jamz FM. Heir Wave Music signed Kahri 1k, Shaolinn, Leeto, and WhyNotDuce in its first year.
