Leave You Alone song by singer Ella Mai — Ella-Mai began her musical career in 2014 at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute in London, where she auditioned as part of a trio on The X Factor's 11th season.
She released Troubled, a four-track solo EP of originals in 2015, and was found on social media by American record producer Mustard, who signed her to his label, 10 Summers Records.

With "Boo'd Up," Mai was nominated for two Grammy Awards: Best R&B Song and Song of the Year, which she won for the FORMER. The song "Boo'd Up" went on to win the Billboard Music Award for Top R&B Song in 2019.
Mai was named Top R&B Artist and Top Female R&B Artist at the Billboard Music Awards in 2019. Apart from her music, Mai appeared in a Nickelodeon's All That sketch called "Boo'd Up," a paranormal parody of The Dating Game, in which she played herself as a contestant looking for a ghost to haunt her family home, but instead of choosing one of the three suitors offered, she chose her former ghost, whom she forgave.
At the 62nd Grammy Awards in 2020, Mai was nominated for her third Grammy Award for Best R&B Album for her self-titled debut.
Mai released the song "Not Another Love Song" on October 2, 2020. She released "DFMU" on Friday, January 28, 2022. Mai confirmed the title of her new album Heart On My Sleeve on Instagram on March 28, 2022, with the release date planned for May 6, 2022.
