STARZ’s ‘P-Valley’ Sets Record For Largest Season-To-Season Growth

A new record was achieved by the critically acclaimed series P-Valley after its season two release on STARZ's app, where it grew by more than 1,018 percent year over year since its premiere in July of 2020. Starz's STARZ app saw record subscription growth over the second season debut weekend (June 3-5) with over 4.5 million multiplatform viewers. Among primetime dramas, P-Valley had the highest level of social interaction of any show on any network at that point in time. On the show's success, the show's creator Katori Hall got in on the action. In a statement, she said, "Our Pynk Posse turned up and showed out!" Following a long hiatus, the overwhelming reception to season two feels like a gift, but we're back and we're just getting started, y'all." I can hardly contain my excitement as I watch the Pynk Posse expand and develop a strong sense of belonging as we launch this new season into the world. For everyone involved in the show, hearing from viewers that they have felt seen, recognized, and appreciated is the ultimate goal. I can't wait for you all to come down to the valley and see the remainder of what we have in store." Additionally, STARZ's President of Domestic Networks Alison Hoffman noted that P-second Valley's season "has delivered record setting viewer performance and subscription growth, and through its incredible storytelling has continued driving cultural conversation and critical acclaim. 'P- Valley's' Katori and the entire P-Valley team have done an amazing job." For us, the series represents our dedication to elevating storylines that reflect the voices of women and underrepresented groups, and we are very pleased with its ongoing popularity." In the meantime, you may catch up on the latest episodes of P-Valley on STARZ, where new ones are released every Sunday. The official trailer for the film may be seen in the video embedded below.
